But, the new ATC Tower under constructor at Delhi International Airport also known as Indira Gandhi International Airport will gone Tallest ATC Tower In India. Through this new Air Traffic Control Tower, the controllers can maximized the utilization of their three runways per hours via 360 degree view and with the new runway it will  become India’s first and only Airport with four runways, said by “PRABHAKARA RAO” CEO, Delhi International Airports Limited (DIAL).

The New ATC which is under construction will all set to preform operations from the starting week of December 2016. Delhi Air Traffic Control Tower will be the tallest ATC Tower in India with the height of 101.9 meters and able to reported over 350 crore.

The Old ATC Tower at “DIAL” has the height of 60 meter which was constructed in 1996 and its exist six years ago.

At present the tallest ATC Tower in India is constructed at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Mumbai) which was named on the name of 17th-century Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the 35th busiest airport in the world and second in India after Delhi as per the International Airports Council and it has the busiest runway in the country in the term of cargo traffic.

The airport handling the record of 51 movements per hour on September-16-2016. It has the 5 working terminal with covering the operational area of 1,850 acres (750 hectares).

The Airport also won the Best Airport Award “ASQ” in the category of 25-40 million passengers per annum by International Airports Council.
